ABOUT US

Voyager was created on May 22, 2023 at 5:37 PM PST by Tryst_L.

I mostly wanted to create a Minecraft server for my friends to play. Although we got a little bored playing with ourselves, so we decided to advertise the server publicly.

A few months later, I shut down the server as I didn’t want to pay for it anymore, but then another few months later, I decided to reopen it again, but with a new, fresh map.

I had one of my friends, SynthaTek, be the Co-Owner of the server. We built it up a lot, he became the mayor, then the state governor, etc. Then, we got into a verbal altercation, and he left the server and made his own called SynthaCity.

After a lot of the members from Voyager, I chose to shut down the server, again, and move to SynthaCity.

But, a few weeks later, one of my other friends and I came together to reopen the server, making it a fresh new server again. SynthaTek and I called a truce and remained friends and supported each other. SynthaTek and I did a trade, I got SynthaCity and he got something else in another game. Currently, SynthaCity is shut down and Voyager is still up!

However, on August 27, 2026, we have decided to rename Voyager to RootedSMP. We had to go through EVERYTHING to successfully rename it to RootedSMP, yet... here we are.

RootedSMP has 3 staff members, all being Management members. If you would like to apply for staff, head to the “Staff Application” channel in the Discord Server! :)

If you read this far, thank you very much. I really do hope you join us as a new player and experience Voyager for yourself!
